NS Conditions for Traveling with Pets
These are the NS conditions classified into three pet types:
-
Small Pets:
Small pets, such as cats and small dogs, may be transported for free in a bag, basket, or on your lap. There are no specific requirements for the animal’s size or the dimensions of the carrier. However, small pets are not permitted to take a seat on the train.
-
Larger Dogs:
Larger dogs must have a ticket and must always be kept on a leash. Please note that RailClick cannot sell pet tickets. To purchase a pet ticket, you must refer directly to NS. For assistance with your travel arrangements, feel free to contact us, but please note that we cannot process the pet ticket sale.
-
Guide Dogs (including those in training):
Guide dogs and assistance dogs travel for free if they can be identified as a guide dog or other assistance dog. These dogs do not require a ticket or muzzle.
